Young artist Ayna Musayeva also worked as an artist at Yarat Contemporary Art Space while studying at Western University. After graduating from the New York Academy of Arts, she worked there in 2018 as a teaching assistant. Ayna was also employed as a graphic designer at Mana Contemporary, primarily on the website. She started working at Musee Magazine as a picture editor and administrator from 2018 to 2019. The artist also served as an assistant at the American Frieze Gallery in 2019.
In 2014, Ayna was awarded as the author of the best work for Chingiz Babayev’s Workshop. Furthermore, Ayna was involved in many projects hosted by Yarat Contemporary Art. Empty production buildings, workshops, and factories from the Soviet Union were resurrected owing to the artists' passion. As the memory of its magnificent past is restored, it will be given new colors and dynamism by many artists, including Ayna Musayeva. YARAT Contemporary Art Space conceptualized and organized the project curated by artist Faig Ahmed. He recently represented his country at the Venice Biennale of Contemporary Art and the Sharjah Islamic Art Festival. In 2014, she participated in the final exhibit of the project Invasion. Museum 2014, which will take place in Baku's most important museums, including the National Museum of the Arts, the State Carpet Museum, the Historical Architectural Reserve 'Icherisheher,' and the Historical Architectural Reserve Ateshgah Temple.' YARAT is leading the initiative as part of ARTIM, a multi-year program that nurtures young talent by providing opportunities to flourishing artists, designers, and musicians. The project focuses on modern artists' interpretations of Azerbaijan's material and intangible cultural and historical assets.
