As an artist, Jamila is a seeker of new and diverse ways to express herself. Her paintings reflect her passion for experimenting with different mediums and techniques, as well as her journey of self-discovery. She sees art as a potent force for personal expression and social change, and she is dedicated to sharing her work with a wider audience.

Jamila's favorite tools in painting include ink, oil paints, and acrylics, which she uses to create intricate and vibrant compositions. She also dabbles in digital art, but her true passion lies in the tactile experience of working with traditional materials like canvas, walls, and paper. Her mixed media approach often includes markers, pastels, coal, sepia, and other materials, creating a rich and textured surface that invites viewers to explore her work on multiple levels.

Currently working as an assistant curator in a gallery, Jamila brings her knowledge and expertise to the behind-the-scenes aspects of organizing and setting up exhibitions. Her experience in documenting and photographing artworks for printing in catalogs has given her a unique perspective on the art world and has influenced her own creative practice. Through her work, Jamila seeks to inspire and challenge her audience, inviting them to engage with the power of art and explore their own paths of self-discovery.
