Farid Abdullayev was the Executive Director of the Baku-based non-profit arts group YARAT Contemporary Art Space from 2011 to 2017. Abdullayev's position as Executive Director focuses on the creation of innovative community involvement models and audience establishment strategies. Abdullayev acquired skills in strategic management and public relations strategies while in the United States. He's also fascinated by the role of art managers in animating public space.
He had lots of scientific articles which were published in different magazines, such as Culture, Language and Literature, The problems of art and culture magazines, the actual issues of contemporary art, and Conference papers dedicated to the 80th birthday anniversary of the president of the Republic of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev, The wings of time, Traditions and modernity. The artist attended the training of famous curators and artists like Abigail Carney and Eckhard Thiemann.
Moreover, Abdullayev had six years of lecturer experience in the Academy of Fine Art. He was the curator of many exhibitions and projects in Yarat Contemporary Art Space. Now, Farid has been the managing director of Art Service MMC since 2017.
