Leyla Rzayeva is an interdisciplinary artist living and working in the San Francisco Bay Area. Leyla earned her BFA from Maryland Institute College of Art and a Professional Printer Certificate from Tamarind Institute, University of New Mexico. She is a current Artist-in-Residence at Kala Art Institute.

Leyla highlights the fundamental topics of communication, memory, family, and movement to examine her relationship with colonialism and built self narrative through manipulating fabrics, paint, ceramics, and printmaking. Her studies and work use her own experience with Central and West Asian contemporary culture to explore the narratives that have influenced her family's and the world's history. She is founder of Clubhouse Lithography Workshop
