Roya worked in several positions, such as an inspector of the Statistical Analysis Department of the State Customs Committee between 1998-2004, the chief economist of the Zaminbank KB International Relations Department between 2004-2009, the head of the Department of Javadkhan LTD Market between 2009-2016, and an instructor at the Roya painting association between 2016-2019. Currently, she works as a pedagogue at the Department of Fine Arts of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts. Roya is a member of the Azerbaijan State Union of Artists. She has participated in many projects organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Icherisheher State Historical-Architectural Reserve Department, Azerbaijan State Academy of Arts, Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Culture and Tourism, UN organization in Azerbaijan, Embassies of many countries in Azerbaijan, "YARAT" Modern Art Space, Arts Council and UNESCO, and she has exhibited her works within the mentioned projects. In 2015, Roya Hasan participated in professional classes organized by Sotheby's Art House in Georgia. In addition to painting, she is also engaged in graphics, ceramic and glass pattern art, sculpture and illustration. She prefers post-impressionism, expressionism, and abstract styles in her works.
